  • Jul 21: shared the Element North America life-sciences acquisition (closed Oct 1)

Use it: Do not rely on LinkedIn. Catch him after his 1:20 session; the Element integration is the hook.

Why meet them

Eurofins just closed a $400M buy of 27 Element labs (Oct 1) and is integrating them now.

What to say

"Congrats on closing Element's life sciences labs. Is moving 27 sites onto the Eurofins platform the main focus for your team, or is that with operations already?"

Research notes

Eurofins VP Corp Dev (Americas); ex-Comcast NBCU corp dev, 100+ deals. Closed $400M buy of Element's NA life-sciences labs Oct 1, 2026 (27 labs, ~750 staff); sold E&E testing to UL Solutions for €575M. Integration under way now.

Why the opener works

It refers to a specific, verified recent event and asks for their view instead of pitching, so they describe the systems or integration pain in their own words.

What it tells us

  • Three marketing automation tools on the US domain alone: Pardot, Act-On and ClickDimensions (the Dynamics add-on). That is the footprint of acquired labs never consolidated.
  • Element, closed Oct 1, arrives with its own Optimizely CMS and Pardot. The integration question is concrete now.
  • Ask Brad whether commercial systems are in scope for the Element integration; the DNS shows they will have to be.

Acquisitions and their stacks

Eurofins folds small labs into eurofins.com within a year (Infinity, Labor 3), but the back office lingers: Infinity's NetSuite and Ascend's HubSpot are still live in DNS. Element is the first large carve-out to arrive with its own Pardot and Optimizely.

Wappalyzer.com cross-check

  • eurofins.com Confirmed No marketing automation on the site, matching our scan. The MAPs live on subdomains (DNS).
  • element.com Confirmed Optimizely CMS and personalisation, Pardot, ZoomInfo, Hotjar; adds ServiceNow and iCIMS.

How we scanned: each site was rendered in a headless browser (homepage plus up to three inner pages) and matched against the open-source Wappalyzer fingerprint set (7,600+ technologies), then cross-checked with public DNS: mail servers, SPF senders, domain-verification records and marketing subdomains (go., info., email.). Account IDs (HubSpot portal, Pardot, Klaviyo) show whether brands share one instance. Every account was also checked on Wappalyzer.com. Acquisitions come from press releases, SEC filings and trade press; each acquired company's own domain was put through the same scan. Back-office CRMs are mostly inferred from DNS, so treat "inferred" as strong evidence, not proof.
